What diaper should I recommend?

Blümchen combines the absorbant fabric with the waterproof fabric in the following ways:

  1. System All-in-One: the waterproof fabric is sewn onto the absorbant fabric. Very slim fit. A supersoft and non sticky bambooterry offers besides a superior comfort a second leak guard. Additionally the leg elastics are stitch free and provide a great leakproofness. An intigrated pocket offers enough space for additional boosters. Easy to use!

  2. System pocket diaper: A stay-dry lining is sewn to the waterproof fabric, building a pocket for the absorbant inserts. Very easy to use and slim fitting diaper. The absorbant inserts are fully removable, what allows to wash those more intense and hotter. drying them sepreately from the waterproof cover also allows quick drying. For newborns you can only use one absorbant insert, what makes the diaper very slim fitting. Very flexible and easy system, but due to limited absorbancy and volume not recommended for nighttime use.

  3. System 2in1: The absorbant pad with an elastic leg gusset is connected to the waterproof 2in1 pant with a hook and loop tape. This provides a superior leakproofness due to a double leak guard. With our nighttime boosters this also allows the diaper to be used as a night option. Additionally the waterproof pants also offers enough volume to be used with a standard absorbant pant. At nappy changes, the absorbant insert will be changed, the waterproof pants can be used again. Use 2 pants alternately, so that the just used pant can dry between two changes. Very flexible and leakproof option for all stages.

  4. System prefold: prefolded square cloths are put into a waterproof pant or will be worn as a daiper pant using a snappi. Very cheap and simple system. As this is not so easy to put on, it may cause problems with lively babys. Though it is a highly recommended system by midwifes and cloth diaper consultants.

  5. System 2 pants: an absorbant pant will be combined with a waterproof pant. Highly absorbant and leakproof system, specially recommended for heavy wetters and nighttime use. First choice for babys, that failed to be kept dry with several other systems, including disposables. 

What is the System All-in-One?


The Blümchen all-in-one is a very slim one-size allinone with bamboo lining. The diaper is equipped with seamless leg ends and an elastic leak protection inside the diaper. Both provide the best possible leak protection. Seamless leg ends, however, require an additional work step during diapering, as you always have to push the absorbant bamboo lining under the waterproof membrane. This does not automatically happen. The double leakage protection inside the diaper provides better leakage protection when sleeping and running. The concealed microfibre core offers super absorbancy despite the slim fit.

What is the system pocket diaper?


Pocket diapers consist of a waterproof outer layer sewn with a lining. The absorbent inserts are put between the lining fabric and the outer membrane, and the space between them is accessible via a pocket opening at the back.
You can use any absorbant pads you like. We recommend our Bamboo PLUS inserts for the best performance and comfort. But of corse and inserts are possible, like microfibre, organic cotton, bamboocotton or bamboo carcoal.
 

What is the system 2in1?

Blümchen 2in1 - simply stick in absorbent pads, done! When changing the diaper, simply change the absorbant pad.

Our 2in1 insoles are always perfectly adapted. The elastic leg cuffs form a channel that provides additional leakage protection and gently nestles against the skin. The 2in1 insert is fastened with the help of 2 Velcro fasteners at front and back in the 2in1 covers and can be exchanged thereby also completely simply.
TIP - Put on 2 covers alternately, so that the 2nd cover dries at the changing table. Prepare the fresh diaper before changing it, i.e. stick the insert in place in advance.
TIP: For very small newborns the newborn covers are suitable as a supplement. Simply insert the 2in1 pads into the small covers (without fastening in the panties).

What is the system Prefold?

Blümchen offers Prefolds in 3 sizes and 3 qualities (organic cotton twill, bamboocotton twill, organic cotton brushed terry):

  • Size XS: perfectly fits on the newborn (2-4kg). Later the prefolds are perfect additional inserts.
  • Size S: suitable from about 3,5-8kg. Also a good size as an absorbant core for pocket diapers.
  • Size L: suitable for children from 8-15kg. Super additional insert also for adult incontinence pants.

What is the system 2 pants?

  • Blümchen organic cotton diapers are produced in 3 versions. Made from classic organic cotton twill, i.e. unbleached prefold fabric. Made of white organic cotton cuddly fabric, a brushed terry cloth. And printed jersey, lined on the inside with soft cuddly fabric. All made of 100% certified organic cotton (GOTS standard). Available in OneSize or sized.
  • Blümchen bamboo diapers: made of supersoft, non-sticky bamboo terry. Available in OneSize.
